Oh, yeah… for any lurkers and newbies who might be reading this, the studio albums and anime soundtracks that Sakamoto did in collaboration with legendary composer/arranger/producer Yoko Kanno are, well, a big part of why both of them are as famous as they are today. Here is a partial discography (i.e., these are the few albums that I could find on the U.S. version of Apple Music):
The Vision of Escaflowne (1996)
https://music.apple.com/album/491294074https://music.apple.com/album/491339826https://music.apple.com/album/491291032"Kiseki no Umi" (from
Record of Lodoss War, 1998)
https://music.apple.com/album/543496353Dive (1998)
https://music.apple.com/album/442687959"Mameshiba" (from
Earth Girl Arjuna, 2000)
https://music.apple.com/album/543496719Lucy (2001)
https://music.apple.com/album/477658089Easy Listening (2001)
https://music.apple.com/album/442730503"Hemisphere" (from
RahXephon, 2002)
https://music.apple.com/album/543509239"Gravity" (from
Wolf's Rain, 2003)
https://music.apple.com/album/543509219"Tune the Rainbow" (from
RahXephon, 2003)
https://music.apple.com/album/543508939And this is very much a
partial discography. Younger people might remember "Triangler" (from
Macross Frontier, 2008), which was a top-ten hit when it was released as a single…
Anyhow, this is why every time Sakamoto releases something new, long-time fans check the credits for Kanno.
I myself have a particular fondness for "Kiseki no Umi"…
It's not their best work, but something about the bridge (from 1:06 to 1:21) gets me every time.

I can’t access those songs.
Not available in the US store.

I don't know what to tell you. The links all work for me, in both Safari and Chrome.
I'll test them again later, after work.

I can't access them through my phone, which is the place I primarily use Apple Music. I just tested it on my computer and the links work for me on iTunes.
Which I guess is the problem. iTunes = yes, Apple Music = no.

RahXephon was one of the first Anime movies I ever watched and Tune the Rainbow was my favorite Maaya Sakamoto song. I had this beautiful song on endless repeat as a kid. so nostalgic. If I found my old mp3 player, it would still be on it.

Oh. I removed the country codes from the links so that they would work in any country, like we've always done with iTunes Store links. Maybe that breaks the cross-app hooks (e.g., "Open In…") on iOS. Sorry.
