• Published in the USA in January 2005. The first in an 8 book series.
• The version in Ayaka's recommendation seems to be a 2014 reprint with a new cover design. There is evidence of a 2006 Japanese release using the original USA cover.

• This is a children's book Ayaka often read in elementary school. "I want to do this, I want to do that. I want to make this my own." A cute story full of a girls aspirations and desires. Though it's a series where each volume has one subtitle, the conflicts and troubles of the hero will reach your heart. Every girl has wanting feelings in everyday life; I want to do everything I like and I want everything, but I don't want it halfway. These types of conflicts, jealousy, even envy appears glittery.

2. Gankutsu Hime (岩窟姫) by Kondo Fumie (近藤史恵)
Popular idols, the mystery of suicide. Her best friend, Hasumi, is stunned, but will soon get caught up in a turbulent whirlpool mourning her death. The cause of suicide is left on her blog as Hasumi's bullying. Even though she doesn't remember anything, the manager and fans don't believe her. Hasumi, who lost everything, stands up to prove her innocence. What the girl who discovered the truth of the death of a friend saw.. a mystery of shock.

• Originally published in 2015.
• The listing on Ayaka's honcierge is for the 2018 bunkoban (small paperback) edition, but in her included photo she's holding the 2015 edition (which may be out of print, as it no longer seems to be listed on the publishers website.)

• She's never mentioned it, but this is a story with the theme of the entertainment world; idols. It's a real mystery novel despite the contrary cute cover. There are points in the setting that seem to go back and forth between real and fantasy. In a sense it's similar to the "Royal Ballet School Diaries" introduced above; a big difference being feeling "girls strength" rather than "girls shining". Girls can make their beautiful appearances ugly and varied as a weapon. You can hold hands with your opponent for your own purpose. There are friendships that do not lose jealousy. Though there may be a muddled image of girls, it is stronger than that. Through the mystery, you feel the strength of girls.

• Kanno Yui is a model for "LARME" fashion magazine, and producer of her own cosmetics and apparel brands. She previously modeled for magazines "Hana*chu→" and "Popteen".

• Ayaka says Kanno Yui is like the incarnation of "girly", with a cuteness that hasn't changed over many years and is admired by girls. She has an inquiring mind in regards to makeup and beauty, and is the "Beauty Minister" of the modeling world. (The rest of what she wrote is gibberish to me; something about skin, wearing clothes, and wanting to be that kind of woman one day.)
