At he courthouse today for jury duty. I want coffee but there’s only the vending machine kind.

Also this is like 15 miles from where I live so I’m hoping I won’t have to come back.

That's it. That's the whole story. I just remembered her all of the sudden because she was getting coffee from one of the courthouse vending machines.

MohUpdate: I've been upped to gabapentin 300mg twice a day, starting tizanidine 4mg three times a day, and I'm supposed to have an EMG when I go back to the pain clinic next month. I'm obviously gonna have to keep calling them until a peer-to-peer is done for my CT scan.

I didn't have change so I couldn't even use the vending machines at the courthouse. I thought they would be those that take card.

Anyway, I was actually chosen as a juror and have to go back this morning. It's just a traffic/driving criminal case, and hopefully it'll wrap up quickly. They promised us free lunch too.

It's kind of interesting to watch though. I just wish they'd pay us more for being there. I got $17.20 for yesterday and that was about the cost of my Uber ride there and back.

The one time that I did get picked for a jury, it was what seemed like a simple DUI - but nothing turns out to be simple, I suppose, since it was the one that wound up as a hung jury (with a pretty even split).
