[6/13] Morning Musume '18 65th Single - Are you Happy?／A gonna

Yeah, there's no way with that much jumping that it's going to be in sync, since everyone will jump as different forces naturally. Because of that it makes it look amatuer. BUT everything else is great. The rest of the dance, the video, the song are all solid.

Trending #5 on Youtube currently, A Gonna didn't get that high.

To me, the messy jumping fits quite well the song. The whole melody is creating some sort of "unease" feeling to me (probably because there are lots of "creating momentum" sections that finish in another "creating momentum" or just a very quiet phrase... but never finalizes as a strong chorus) that is amplified by the lack of synchronization in those jumps / random movements in the "loneliness / get me out of here" verse. I am also having some trouble differentiating chorus from the rest of the song... it is like they broke the usual H!P song structure.

But, yeah, I am probably overthinking and/or letting my OCD getting control of my thoughts.

Apparently part of the "Are you Happy?" choreography came from YOSHIKO being inspired by seeing Maasai jumping dances on YouTube?

Maasai jumping dance is when "warriors in Kenya perform the competitive jumping dance that is used when trying to earn the affection of potential brides".

So this relates back to what the song is about with competing against others and wanting to find love.
