I have been predicting and sometimes even hoping for this day, but when it came I cannot feel happy about it. It's sort of an end to an era.

Makoto. :giggle:

Makoto: I see. Speaking of “hiatus”, I actually know a thing or two about it.
*SharanQ is in hiatus*

Momoko: Oh yeah! Haha

Makoto: Yeah we haven’t disbanded either… technically

Now that I've gotten through the shock of it, I'm really interested to see where all of the girls end up.

I kind of want Momoko to become the host of a children's educational TV show XD So she can use both her teacher training and her idol/variety training to it's fullest potential.

Also, I think it would go over really well in Japan, from the Japanese Educational Kids shows I've caught before, she would honestly fit right in.

This is the first time such a long running group with more than a hundred songs is going to stop performing regularly isn't it? Like other groups or Solo artist weren't around quite as long...

^Melon Kinenbi lasted 10 years. They released less frequently though.

Also, I'm surprised people are surprised.

Coming from the person who constantly said she would rather see Berikyuu have a mass graduation as soon as possible, it's actually made me sad on the inside once the news of Berryz' "Indefinite Hiatus" came out. :(

If it ain't gonna be a mass Berikyuu graduation, it's going to be close to one. C-ute won't go far after Berryz. It's kinda clear.
...I think anyway.

Bugger.

I know it was inevitable, but it's still sad. I wish it could have lasted until the end of next year though. I have tentative plans to go to Japan end of next year, and would have loved to attend a H!P concert with all the current members. I'll be missing Sayu by a whole year. Missing BK by half a year kinda sucks even more.

At least they'll end on a high note, and hopefully the members will still stay in the public's eyes.

We should petition Tsunku for a final US concert. (NY, anyone? :D) lol

This may sound evil-hearted, but I hope that C-ute disbands relatively close to after Berryz. Mainly because there is going to be this... aura after Berryz... "leaves"... which will be hard to come by.

So, as a berryz fan, why are you so obsessed with c-ute :/ Maybe you can write to Tsunku to persuade him to gradute c-ute as well.

The difference between Berryz and Cute is that, while Berryz never said anything out loud it was becoming really clear that the members were feeling a bit differently about the group and that they weren't really going the same direction. And they have been talking about it as they announced, for about a year. So it makes complete sense.
Cute however, have stated several times that they won't mind quit being idols if that means that they'll be able to continue as a group. So while they might graduate from H!P sometime soon, I have a hard time seeing that they'll put the group on hiatus.
