I WAS A MEMBER! for almost a year. then I had money problems and then I had to go home. =_= Still have my H!P fanclub card though.

You'd think with them calling themselves Up-Front International now would mean they should branch out their fanclub

But in seriousness i guess it's an expensive endevour to consider since they need people on the international side running it and translating material to be sent to members and dealing with other stuff. Though i suppose with everything being online these days it shouldn't be too hard. I'm sure they can find ways to reduce running costs and make money from even the cult following H!P has in the west.

But then if we had direct access to goods and the fanclub imagine how much business deputy services would lose lol.

The main function of the fanclub is to sell concert tickets directly to the fans so UF* don't have to pay other middle companies that do sell the regular concert tickets to the general public. Organizing fanclub events and trips also fall under this same policy, keep it all in the company. I guess that this is the main reason why it's not open for international fans living abroad since they don't buy as many concert tickets, and with the lottery system for the concert tickets it's also more expensive for Up Front to send the tickets oversees.

If they want to open the fanclub internationally they will have to change it change it to make it more appealing for everyone. Since they already opened up the Hello! Store USA and made it possible for international users to use that e-LineUP shop they already have several outlets to sell goods to international fans. This already gives international fans some of the benefits that a int. fanclub would give without people having to pay to become a member.
