Sofia is such a boring name for a princess though .
Like, all the other female Disney princesses/lead characters have somewhat interesting names and then Sofia.
Not counting Jane, but she's awesome enough that having a boring name doesn't matter. And she's not a princess/royalty/whatever. But. Nobody remembers Jane.
I think it fits pretty well, especially since she starts off as a normal little girl and just ends up becoming a princess because her mother marries the King. I imagine it's also easier for a 4 year old to pronounce than "Aurora".
I remember when there was small scale controversy because she was supposedly Latina/Hispanic (I'm guessing as an answer to Nick's immensely popular Dora the Explorer) but looked completely white.
I don't think I ever heard about that. Though the character of Sofia's mother is voiced by Sara Rmirez and does have a tanner skintone, so I suppose I can understand where they would draw that conclusion from. Aren't there also hispanic/latin people that are more light skinned anyway though?
Aichan will be appearing in a CM for insect-repellent brand エステー promoting their ??? product (??? not sure what's the word in english, the fragrant thing you put in your closets to protect your clothes ) to be broadcasted nationally starting 3/18 http://www.st-c.co.jp/topics/2013/000495.html
Does anyone know the body wash or shampoo Nono recently promoted? I saw a huge promotional ad for it at Mitsuwa recently (and freaked out because it was Nono xD) but I can't remember what it is or find my picture of it
