Since partial nudity in stage plays is not a new or uncommon thing in the US or England, it wouldn't surprise me if they did this in Japan. I could also see Abe Natsumi being okay with it (if the play has a prestigious director or if the play is an adaptation of an famous English play that already had those elements).
