Something about Moritaka reminds me a whole lot of Maimi...
But I can't put my finger on it.

^ You're not the only one that thinks that. I've kept a close eye on Maimi ever since I saw her in this video over six years ago.

I couldn't believe my eyes. Gone was the boyish girl from the H!P Kids audition and in its place was a teenager who bears a striking resemblance to a young Chisato Moritaka.
(Long beautiful hair, gorgeous legs that make her look taller than she actually is, athletic, known for dancing, plays piano etc)
Not to mention Maimi looks up to her and has covered several of her songs at FC events.
I'm just really happy UF is pushing Maimi (and Kikka) to be more like Chisato.

If i remembered correctly when you're referring to a female broadly it's Ojouchan (little lady) for 5-10years old, Oneesan(sister) for 20-30 and Obaasan after that.
cmiiw :)

Not exactly -- to begin with Obasan and Obaasan are two totally different words. Obasan is literally (someone's) aunt, and Obaasan is literally (someone's) grandmother. Colloquially Obasan can be used to describe any woman who's roughly in the same age range as your mom, and Obaasan any woman who's roughly in the same range as your grandma. Disrespectfully Obasan can be used to describe a woman who's not old enough to be your mom but is well above your age cohort. So even if like if you are 20 and you're hanging out in a place where middle schoolers would hang out, you could be considered an Obasan in that context.

Anyway, in the song she's basically talking about when she and her husband have been married long enough that they've become one of those permanently-settled-down looking couples. Somebody of Chisato Moritaka's age would definitely qualify, IMO.

God. Please let that hair be a wig. Or maybe it's just ugly in pigtails. On the plus side she sounded great (even though Chinese pop sounds realllllly odd to me). Too bad the audience looked like they didn't give a frack.

it's definitely a wig, she's been wearing a lot of them lately. you can tell by way the parts that should connect to her head fall, and the fact that it's shiny and a bit too voluminous.

actually, i'm not sure at all what her hair looks like right now. the most recent "natural hair" picture i've seen her post is from back in October.

but it's great to see her do events and stuff. even if the audience doesn't look too excited..

Why would the promoters even have shown a shot of a the crowd if they were that uninterested?
