Honestly if i can't get someone who sings decently in an idol group at least let her be attractive in one way or another.

Plus the girls in MoMusu that sing the worst (Eripon, Haruna, Kanon) make up for it with their amazing personalities.
Mogi has no personality. The girl just cries.

Kanon is not "really bad." She is pretty unreliable right now, but she's certainly better than Eripon and Haruna.

She certainly has potential. She does well with songs that utilize her deep voice.

Honestly Haruna has improved in leaps and bounds as well.

The point was that even the worst in MoMusu aren't even near as bad as Mogi.

9th and 10th gen are not that bad in terms of singing compared to what we've had in the past. At the very least, they sound acceptable recorded most of the time (except maybe Riho...), whereas I never wanted to hear Konkon or early Sayu and Koharu's lines also jump out at me in a bad way.

Eripon has at least come from REALLY BAD to listenable... at least she can sing in a cute, idol-y way that is enjoyable to listen to.

Tsunku dislikes unreliable vocalists more than bad ones.

I don't recall Mogi being this awful singer, I recall being pleasantly surprise by her singing in the auditions although I might be thinking of Kanon .
