No fires near my area, but lots of unhealthy ashes is falling on our driveway.

I will be going to California next weekend for a family memorial service for my uncle and have been closely monitoring what’s been going on since my family lives south of LA. So far everything is okay and hopefully stays that way.

Stay safe to those in the area. Breathing all that stuff in is just as bad as the fires themselves.

I'm in an area that's on flat ground and reasonably far from the foothills, and from the fires (at least so far). But the wind is supposed to be back on Monday, although not as bad as it was on Wednesday, when it was getting up around Category 1 speed at times, I think (enough to do only moderate damage by itself, but incredibly dangerous in terms of spreading fire in a dry environment).
