I recommend watching Kishimoto's segment, if nothing else. She, uh… she really gets into it.

Also, looking at a few different things in the "Mirror Mirror" segments, trying to get a sense of the timeline, I think it's clear that Oota was suspended right in the middle of that production cycle. After the song was recorded, and after the dance was choreographed, but before the group learned the dance. Which means her suspension must have been particularly disruptive.
