I'm not at all surprised about her leaving. She was always one of those who seemed very well studied and after having spent time with Momochi, I'm sure she realized even more that being an idol isn't everything one should do. These days especially, with young kids in Japan being so focused on needing/wanting a stable job and all, Yanagawa definitely seems like one of those who would go down that route. Much like Ogata, tbh. Idoling is fun but it isn't the future for them and unless they feel that showbiz is what they wanna do for the rest of their life, it only makes sense they're considering "real life" options. Especially if they're doing good in school.
I hope she had a fun while she was in.
It'll be interesting to see what happens with Country Girls now.

I'm disappointed and sad but y'know I'm glad she has the opportunity to finish high school and focus on her studies.
I prefer this then the slave contracts like they have in Kpop.
Its sad but I guess being a HelloPro idol is a full-time gig.

I never attached to her in Juice=Juice, but she was still lovely. I'm sad to see her go and I hope she enjoys whatever she ends up doing after leaving.
I'm also interested to see what happens with Country Girls.

Being an idol seems less and less a career unto itself, and more something to do until "real life" begins.
H!P is losing one of its best, again.
This makes me sad. I wish her all the best in the future.
I think it’s partially this, but I also remember back in the early days of H!P girls would drop out of school to be an idol. Without an education to fall back on there was literally no other options other than the entertainment industry. Now a days all the girls make it at least through High School and by the time they graduate they can make the choice to pursue higher education or put all of their energy into their group, which we’ve already seen with many of the girls opting out of college while others graduate or try to do both at the same time. Nanami got the opportunity to be an idol and she’s now choosing to finish school and try something else with her life. I’m glad that the girls are able to make those choices and so I 100% support them when they do.
