2. Kugatsu ga Eien ni Tsuzukeba (九月が永遠に続けば; If September Could Last Forever) by Numata Mahokaru (沼田まほかる)

• 41 year old seamstress Sachiko Mizusawa lives alone with her 18 year old son Fumihiko. One night Fumihiko leaves to take the garbage to the trash collection site and never returns, having left behind his wallet and phone. The story unfolds over the next six days.

• Ayaka says this novel falls in the "iyamisu" (イヤミス; eww mystery) category, a subgenre that she loves.
• (To the best of my understanding) She didn't think she could endure, but the story is conveyed in such a way that keeps you turning the pages. She read it in one stretch.
• If you don't know the author's style the title will be decieving to the contents; it sounds like a refreshing youth novel, but Ayaka wants everyone to enjoy a story that does not match in title and feeling.

• She was excited just to have the book. The contents varied with something for all readers, from romance to suspense, and Ayaka enjoyed reading stories she wouldn't usually pick up.

It is decided that Miyagi representatives Ishida Ayumi and Sasaki Rikako are appointed as the new image characters for the Tohoku Rakuten Eagles called the "Eagles Girl". They will make their first appearance at the Rakuten Eagles vs. Nippon Ham Fighters game on June 23rd, 2018. 6/23 is known as "Eagles Girl Day" 2018 Every female fan will be given the pink Eagles Girl uniforms and pink thundersticks!
