I still think she deliberately overenunciates, like a TOEFL instructor, because she knows there are other, non-native speakers watching. Remember that English is a lingua franca, and that we Americans are not the only foreign fans. We’ve seen her speak less awkwardly / more fluently in the past, when she was making offhand comments and wasn’t thinking about the camera.

She still has a bit of an American accent when she speaks Japanese, so... <shrug>

I can see why you'd think that. See gets so nervous when thinking in english. Hope she can improve sufficiently.

And yeah, she speaks more fluent when she doesn't have to think about it. She has a tendency to repeat her self.

In this vid, when she talks about "candy", I believe it's a euphemism for crack. English starts at about 2m40.

She has an accent even when speaking Japanese! I haven't really noticed that.
Did Lil Lin also have an accent when speaking Japanese? Jun Jun definitely did, but Lin Lin sounded normal to me.


Sometimes I forget how good Aari can look.
