Today after C-ute's 11th anniversary FC event at Differ Ariake, Hagiwara Mai issued an apology about those tabloid magazine photos in April that surfaced of her walking and holding hands with a guy friend. She wanted to take responsibility and considered leaving the group, but the members encouraged her to stay and work hard to regain the trust. She has decided to continue her activities. Members started to cry.

She posted her apology on her blog as well and the real story behind those photos. Hagiwara and her guy friend happened to meet up at the station that day. She admits she did go to the home of her guy friend. They didn't think much of it. It was thoughtless behavior and a misunderstanding.

Hagiwara is really sorry and apologizes to the H!P members and fans for betraying them. She wants to regain their trust little by little.

Meh, she's an adult. She's been a sheltered idol all her life so I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted a boyfriend now that she's older. Or at least guy friends.

The fact that they can't even be seen with a guy without people going "LOL LOOK AT THIS BITCH" is gross, honestly. I get why the no dating rule is there and that they should follow the rules even though they're stupid but eh. EH.

I'm honestly surprised she hasn't fucked up before this.
