[12/19] Berryz Kobo 30th single : WANT!

Ok I have to admit. I LOVED both Heroine ni Narou ka and Ai no Dangan. Heroine no Narou ka is one of my favorite berryz songs and PV. I didn't think it was that cheap. I loved the Lady Gaga wigs although it was so obvious.

Watching the Ai no Dangan dance shot brings back memories. That dance was hella awkward wasn't it? The squatting and hip things were very strange. Still I love that song and PV. The only part I really didn't care for was the random motorcycles.

My favorite Berryz song is and always will be Dakishimete Dakishimete. So if you see the pattern I prefer the strong songs over the genki ones even though I still love genki songs. But as I said before I HATE A Yoru ga Akeru. It's my least favorite berryz songs and one of my least favorite Mobekimasu singles right next to MoMusu's Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai...

So as long as its not A Yoru Ga Akeru ish I'm going to welcome this song with open arms.

(Can I also mention that I miss Momoko and hate Momochi. I hate seeing her stupid pigtails. She used to be my favorite member before those stupid tails!)

oh, i love all these songs (including Aa, Yo ga Akeru ) but yeah, the Ai no Dangan PV really could have used better choreography. even the outfits would have looked better without all those weird moves! and i actually loved the Aa, Yo PV except for their outfits. but the girls looked great and the choreography would have made more sense with more sensible costumes (perhaps simple white dresses like what ℃-ute wears for Chou HAPPY SONG).

i prefer cooler Berryz songs, what i don't trust is H!P being able to avoid tacky when they try to go "sexy". the Heroine PV (and all their "cool" ones before Heroine) worked because they had great choreography and awesome outfits and sets. i also didn't mind the wigs except that i wish their wigs weren't all so similar, and that you couldn't see their natural hair underneath lol. however, even when UF/H!P doesn't get the sexy aspects right in the covers or PV's, it doesn't ruin the song for me. usually there's enough there that i still enjoy.

Strictly song-wise I actually like their 2011 singles enough. Ai no Dangan is cool and rock-ish (if a bit tame), Heroine still had some of the Inazuma feel (which is my absolute favorite Berryz period) and Aa, Yo ga Akeru could have been a track from Street Fighter Alpha 2 or Sonic CD. They're not favorite song material, but still pretty okay. My favorite Berryz songs in 2011 were Icchoume Rock, Magical Future, Girls Times, Tanjun Sugi na no Watashi and Kacchoi Uta (because in my mind it's a Berryz song! they even adopted it at their last concer ).

My view is actually very similar to Icey's, except tacky sexy -does- ruin it for me

I love Ai no Dangan. Those awkward moves are so quick I hardly notice them (haven't seen anything but the video posted above in a while though). It's not like Sayu's awkward dance moves in It's You that I can never forget.

Momochi talked about the new single on her radio show. it will be a cool, sexy song. the outfits will be purple and black. and if the outfits are considered as cute or sexy or something.
