Maasa looks disgusting. Sorry guys I can't be less harsh than that. I never cared for her, but by comparison she used to look gorgeous with the long hair.

I am so beyond tired of Momoko and the twin tails. She used to be one of my favorite members and now I really find her an eyesore and annoying.

I love captain with long hair. Long haired captain is my new favorite member of berryz. But if she cuts it I don't know If i will still like her. The dress is cute too.

I used to love Risako. I don't know why I find her so boring now.

Although most of the outfits look nice to me (less Miya's, which doesn't even match the others, and Maasa's, which doesn't match herself), they don't really match the song.

But I really like the song, it may be because some melodies remind me to early 2000's anime sad songs... So I feel nostalgic haha. But I still think it's a nice song, although the not-so-clean dance makes it look awkward. I'm sure it'll be way better in studio version!

Wait, she looks "disgusting" because she changed her hair? How shallow are you? Why... do you care about hairstyles that much? Honestly, it shouldn't affect how you like an idol. Not just with Maasa, but like. You'll stop liking Saki if she cuts her hair? I'm sorry, but that's really fucking stupid. An idol isn't just about their hair. If asthetics are the only reasons you have for liking idols, then that's dumb. They're more than just looks. And if you can't overlook (heh) their hairstyle and judge them simply based on that then you should probably just. Not do that.

I still love Maasa with her short hair. My opinion of her hasn't changed because it's a fucking haircut get over it.

I think it's a combination of the dress, her size and (slightly) the haircut. I wouldn't call her disgusting, but imo she's definitely looking bad.

We can put the blame both on her (she has to slim down, she could do it before so why not now?) and the one in charge of the outfits, cause Maasa's is easily the worst I've seen yet, and it makes her look even bigger.

With that body type, that hair, and that outfit, Maasa doesn't look like an idol anymore. She looks like a housewife in her late twenties or early thirties. An idol could miss one, maybe two of those things and still pull it off, but miss all three? No, it's just not plausible anymore.

I personally like the short hair a lot more than the long hair on Maasa.
But, I agree that dress is hideous. I do like the idea of a cardigan though but... the dress is kinda awful. And how about if she'd get a new pair of shoes at some point? Feels like she's had the same shoes for the past five singles or something (probably not true but) and idk. Boots or something could be nice.

And while this whole weight "issue" will never disappear (in fandom, that is), the biggest issue isn't that Maasa is bigger than the other members in her group. It's that the stylists have no fucking idea of how to style someone who's more than skin and bones.

However she is an idol. Looking good is part of the job.

Seriously though: you'd never be able to tell this girl is getting paid (in part) to look good.

The way she looks now can give people the impression that she doesn't care that much about her job.
That she's just going through the motions.

When you have the°C-ute girls specifically work out so they can get better at their dance routines, it makes her come over as lazy.
I'm not saying she actually is lazy (I have no idea what's going on in her head), but many might percieve her to be.
Sad thing is that like Suzuki Kanon, she looked like a perfectly healthy girl/woman just a couple of years ago.
This isn't an AD Nagisa where people knew from the start what they were getting.

There are plenty of girls in H!P who aren't "skin and bones" but look perfectly normal (Kanyon, Sakura, Nacky,..) and are styled perfectly fine.
Haruna & Chinami types are the exception. A body type like Maasa's just simply isn't the norm for idols.
