They still have a chance, given how well their singles sold. Besides, I don't even know if Kouhaku would count sales from a self-cover album towards whether or not an act appears on their show anyway. And as I said, these are damn good sales considering everything....

I'm surprised that Yoshiki did that well. Though I guess I should have expected it lol.
Honestly, while I did hope for 20k for the album and thus am a bit disappointed, at least I'm happy the sales got better.
HOWEVER, they really should release another single by the end of the year to still go with their momentum and all that stuff. They really have to. That would, also, include a bigger possibility to appear on Kouhaku. Granted we'll know that by the end of November already but if it has been announced by then that they will have a new single coming out, that'd be good enough.

im actually heaps fine with them not being on kouhaku.
the only reason why i would want them there is it would be grant them more exposure hopefully after and more media opportunities maybe.

He turned it into a personal attack on
us. He's embarrassed by
us. He blames
us for the sales.

lol @ amped being so critical and angry
In any case, I don't care what anyone says but album sales have never been big for MM, even during Golden Age.
MM just got back some momentum this year. But it's still too early for casual fans to want to pay 2500+ yen for a CD.
If I were a casual fan, I would just download the songs I want from iTunes or something. Or rent it from a CD shop and burn. Why would I buy a CD of half covers?
Either way, it does not mean they are not popular or that they won't get to go on Kouhaku. NO ONE CARES.
Unless they sell over 300k or something in this day and age, no one will care to notice.
I would be more concerned if their next single fails to keep up with the momentum.

These sales are fine I don't think this was promoted much more than their last album and it isn't even original...and there's no need to be embarrassed by being narrowly beaten by C-ute's equivalent last year. Firstly that's probably a vast underestimation of C-ute's growing fanbase and secondly the content was better. The DVD content pretty much made the C-ute album and was the main thing I was looking forward to but ended up not getting for this release. As a result I only bought it as a download.

my favorite songs from this album is
1. The Man Power!! (updated)
2. Wolf Boy
quite dispointed that Aruiteru (updated), too much remix to that song

because i love the original one and i expected that the updated one will quite same.
