With the 20th Anniversary, Hello! Project is releasing one after the other, a very strong movement.

I think in part this is a testament to the tremendous effectiveness of the HP KSS system. Grabbing scrappy little urchins off the street via audition and remodeling them into pop idols is hit-and-miss at best. Picking many or most members from KSS gives UF a chance to really assess the talent before committing resources to them, gives the girls a chance to grow up a bit so we don't wind up with groups that look and sound like the Island of Misfit Toys.

Makino Maria new photobook "Summer Days", release is 8/25. Shot over 2 days in Okinawa, Miyakojima wearing colorful swimsuit, cute room wear, one piece dress and Okinawa's traditonal "Ryuso".

Includes Making DVD. There will be an Amazon limited edition cover.

Ahh, it's too bad potential audition winners aren't here in time to be part of it. I'm happy they're already including the announced Kenshuusei though; and the dresses! I can't wait to get a decent look at some of them. I see Wada (and Ozeki?) has some kind of cape and I need to see that up close.
