It's been unseasonably warm all week, but it's been so dry that it actually feels comfortable. And since it was so nice out today, I went to an area I hadn't visited yet.

These were taken with my phone.

And some bonus images from my digital camera cause I like how vibrant the colors turned out.

This is all part of
Little River Canyon. There's a nice accessible path leading to a view of the waterfall, which isn't very impressive right now due to a lack of rain.

There's also a not-so-accessible path that you can take directly to the river bed. You can actually walk on it during the dry season! And yes, you
can swim in certain areas.

Tokyo Lens' Norm did a live stream walk around at a thrift store in Japan called "YuYu Ichiba" a few days ago

^ A new store recently opened in my neighborhood that is described as a "mid-century vintage modern collective". In other words, it's various sellers' consignments of antiques and not-quite-antiques that are mostly from the 1980s or before, sold under one roof. It's one of those places where I see items that I own with prices considerably higher than what I paid, or things that I used to own as a kid and wish I still did. It's not a thrift store, for sure, but there's some interesting stuff at affordable prices in the mix. On my first visit, I paid $1 for a postcard (vintage 1960s?) featuring an old-timey Ghirardelli chocolate ad and only $4 for a CorningWare cornflower design casserole dish from the mid-1960s that is just like one that I use regularly. No lid, unfortunately, but still a great deal (the cheapest identical item on eBay is about $14 including shipping).

Happy holidays everyone! I blanked on setting up the holiday card exchange this year. Oops.
Someone sent me a physical $25 Amazon gift card and I have no idea who it was. I assume it was no one from this forum, but.. I'm puzzled lol
