Good luck! I was on call three weeks ago. I ended up not having to go in at all, but I was uneasy all week, having to check my status after 5 pm every evening. The worst part was that I wouldn't find out which courthouse until I was called in. It's easy enough for me to get to the main courthouse in Downtown Oakland, but it would have been a pain in the ass if I'd had to go to Fremont or Dublin.
In my week of jury selection, only people with relatively low group numbers had to go in, and I was in Group 154. Since you're also in Alameda County (right?), it may be the same for you. By checking your status on the website rather than phoning in, you can see which groups have already been called in, so you can make a better prediction of whether your group may eventually get called in or not.

I'm in the next group (my number is 61) with a call in at 1:30 PM today. This doesn't look very good, the group after mine is doing the 5 PM call in routine and has the last number of 164.

I failed and will get another summons in 3 to 5 months. I couldn't get the zoom conference to work on my computer and missed the portal time. They said not to come in and to use the zoom software and that's what I did or tried to. When I called in after many attempts even calling the lady there was pissed at me! Oh well... what else is new.
I'm on their shit list for sure.
ps: next time I will try on my iPhone if I have to Zoom

^ Huh. I didn't know they were using Zoom. I presumably wouldn't have any problems with that, though, since I've used it plenty in the past few years and I just attended a two-day conference on Zoom earlier this month.

I think I used Zoom conferences with my doctor in the past on my iPhone with no problem. My desk top has no video camera or microphone (not compatible for Zoom?). I guess. After I honked everything up on my computer, I did try and use the iPhone but it wanted me to purchase Zoom. ha ha I think the portal was over by then though. This is all because they are trying to be COVID cautious. There was a point where on my computer I saw jurors waiting, and messaging to other people having trouble but my screen was a mess and it didn't look correct. The whole experience was a nightmare. Trying to fix it just made it worse and I could never get back to seeing jurors again.
While all this was going on I was making calls listening to recordings.

Thank you for pointing out my unclear wording. It was a conference held via Zoom: the Mythopoeic Society's Online Midsummer Seminar, with the theme "Fantasy Goes to Hell: Depictions of Hell in Modern Fantasy Texts". Sacrificing my weekend for a conference on the topic of Zoom would truly be Hell.
