* "Gunkanjima" (lit. "Battleship Island") is a nickname for Hashima in Nagasaki Prefecture. (It's basically the Japanese Alcatraz.) Castella is Portuguese sponge cake, which is popular in Nagasaki Prefecture because that's where Portuguese Jesuits established their missions and trading posts in the 16th century.
