ah so in context its just kinda extravagant like that but not necessarily a red light district right?

still was hella awkward on that show when they were talking about it, even the girls were kinda embarrassed.
I'm surprised by how mature Dawa was about it though.

Well. They're singing about a part of a city that none of the members know at all, and no members are from Hokkaido whatsoever. It would be awkward.
Never mind that half of S/mileage aren't good with live TV to begin with.

Does anyone else think of what the girls would say if they saw a picture of their future self? If we went back to 2009 with those profile pictures and showed them to S/mileage without mentioning it's /them/, would Ayacho and Kanyon even recognize themselves? They sure look different from when they debuted. Would Yuuka and Sakichy be weirded out by the fact that the group has 6 members and they aren't part of them?

I realize it's unrelated to our current discussion, but I can't help thinking about it when I see how pretty and mature those two have become. Even 2nd gen members look very different. Even musically, S/mileage is a different beast now. You wouldn't have heard S/mileage sing a song like Aa Susukino in their early days. Of course, they were 13~14 years old but...

yeah even though they look similar, Meimi looks so different to who she was when she first joined.

I still think that if Yuuka was around we wouldn't be getting as much mature songs from S/mileage, simply since her voice isn't suited to it since its so high pitch.
We'd get more songs like Smile Bijin, but that's still more cute than cool. The group didn't really change until Yuuka left because she was an important aspect of early S/mileage in terms of image and sound.

I posted this in the musings thread, but Ayaka and Kanon have been in H!P for 10 years. They joined in 2004 with the 1st gen Eggs, and they're still here. It's so weird to me to think that they joined only two years after Berikyuu, and only one year after Sayumi.

And popularity ;) .

Wow the PVs look great. Kanana in Aa Susukino...I can feel like Tsunku is wanting to use her deeper vocals for sure.

Though I can't believe Tsunku pulled the "Kimi no Kawari wa Iyashinai" card for the other track...I didn't think the whole "repeating the title 4x shtick would be here so soon after". Eh both songs were pretty good though ^_^
