This is like the first grad I've ever felt sad about. Not "I'M GONNA CRY" sad, but still.
She's been in the group since I started listening to them, so she's had a lot of time to grow on me. She really turned out to be a great member and an even better leader.

I thought the same but...... wait until the real graduation. Then it wil be the "I'M GONNA DROWN IN TEARS" sad for real.

The moment Reina graduated, I got that feeling that I wanted Sayu to leave, too. The members started growing on their own, and they've become reliable, like Sayumi mentioned before.

But now... Dammit, I almost cried xD. And I never really cry over member graduations, with the exception of Otsuka Aina and Kaneko Rie. She is a great leader. But now that I think about it, she was probably encouraging Eripon so much because she wanted her to replace her as Morning Musume.'s tarento after she left.

I honestly think the group will still be standing with Sayu gone. With the popular ace Riho, the reliable "mother" Haruna and Zukki and Eripon developing in terms of variety, the group might be fine on it's own.

Sayumi is truly amazing .

I'm saddened by the suddenness of this, the sense of an era passing.

But at the same time, to have the chance to leave the group in substantially better shape than at the beginning of her leadership; this is something that any leader would be happy to achieve. And really, there's no debate in any quarter; if it weren't for Sayumi, MM wouldn't be doing as well as it is today. Her own tremendous willpower not only transformed the group, but transformed herself into an exponentially better talent and spokesperson than before, a much better singer, she even somehow seemingly froze the clock on her own age. And she maintained herself free of scandal, as if she loved the group too much to bring harm to it. If there were such a thing as an Idol Hall of Fame, she would certainly have earned her place.

Can't doubt the tremendous shift she's made for the group itself, but people need to stop over exaggerating her skills on stage. Girl's still tone deaf
