Very impress! Drawing a trillion different girls is always impossible. DX

Why do only S/mileage and random girl in black (... Ogawa Saki?) have critters I wonder, though? ^^;;

since there are 9 S/mileage members (& sub-members) in the picture that seems like a good bet.

I've always wondered how the girls feel if/when they see stuff like that. Not only the novelty of being made into a character (there's a certain magic to it, after all, if it's done well), but also knowing that a fan cares enough to go to the effort. Is it cute? Is it creepy? I dunno.

At SakuraCon Miyabi was handed a plush doll of herself made by a fan and she seemed absolutely thrilled. The girls around her seemed super interested and wouldn't stop prodding it and examining all the little details. And several weeks ago Airi posted pics on her blog of fanart Buono! were given of themselves. I figure that if it weirded them out too much she wouldn't go bragging about it...?

I would say that the point that it starts getting a little creepy (and this isn't meant to offend anyone here) is the actual fan-fiction. You can make a doll or drawing without making nearly as many personal value judgements than what you must make when writing a chapters long novella about how in several members are secretly in love, etc.

But I dunno, in general I think they in must have a sense of humor about all of it, though.
