It’s obviously Sakura the hypocrite. The song is awful, besides Eripon’s graduation feels so a non event.
I’m glad Rio.K didn’t participate on this.

So much for Ikuta centering a song before graduation.
This is what happens when you go years avoiding the good KSS. I can only describe this as generic.

I think the Sono ki no uta song was Ikuta dance center, there was also a nod to her generation during the dance shot (Ako = Riho, Mei = Kanon, Maria = Fuku, Eripon = Eripon)
However I think in Akaruku it still centers on Ikuta in other ways, like her picking up the kaleidoscope -which is the whole theme of the MV, but very gen based/ Yes yes we are friends forever vibe. Also seems to give a hint that maybe Miki is going to lead the group but we might be just reaching a false goose there, still thats more extra than the dance and the outside shots
Kinda like with Edi’s grad single she had a whole Burlesque ish centred theme in one and was a vocal centre in the other.

What does member selections have to do with anything...? I can almost guarantee that regardless of who they added to Momusu, this still would've been Eripon's graduation single.
Anyways, I feel like this single is pretty Eripon heavy -- Ki ni Naru is clearly The Eripon Song, with her being in the center of most of the dance parts, the nod to 9ki in the dance break, the thumbnail for the MV, and getting a decently long solo line in the first half. As much as I love Eripon, I can't really expect her to get more than 1-2 long solo lines given the quality of her voice in comparison to other members. And it's still better than what Koharu got for her final single, lol.
Akaruku Ii Ko is clearly supposed to be the "building up the new generation" song like Wake Up Call was, but Eripon gets some good focus in it as well and the song itself holding a lot of sentimental value. Quality wise, I would say Akaruku Ii Ko is my favorite of the two, but this is a pretty solid single. I honestly just wish there was an extra b-side, whether it was an Eripon solo or a full group song, but it's clear the production of this single became a bit rushed in light of Kitario's scandal. I do think Kitario would've fit both of these songs, though. I'm sure if/when she returns, she'll either inherit Eripon's lines or Mei's extra line in Ki ni Naru/Yokoyan's extra line in Akaruku.

I think I prefer Akaruku out of the two songs, though it's very much standard Tsunku/Ookubo fare. Those outfits made the video hard to watch.

Would you agree or disagree that the talent level of members singing ability limits the level of songs they can perform? What was the last S-Class difficulty song that MM was given?

Coming from someone with a musical background, have you ever actually.... tried singing a recent Momusu song? And singing it well? They're really not that easy at all, especially songs like SAIKiyou that have quick key changes, or Wake-Up Call that are more higher pitched and fast paced. And even if they aren't being given these alleged "S-Class Difficulty" songs, they almost always perform Platinum Era songs on every tour, which is considered to be the vocal peak of the group.
Honestly, Momusu's music was at it's easiest vocally when they had more "heavy hitters" in the group anyways (i.e most Golden Era A-sides, essentially why a lot of those songs got popular in the first place because they were great for karaoke). This lineup has areas where they can improve of course (core stamina seems to be the biggest issue across the board), but hell, even OT9 Tsubaki Factory got vocal-heavy songs before they really solidified themselves as a unit.
And if we're being completely real, most of the "great KSS singers" that a lot of you hype up for Momusu are just screechy. They might have nice tones, but none of them really utilize proper singing techniques until
after they debut (if that). Being able to project your voice is a good skill for a singer to have, of course, but there's foundations that need to be built around that skill which honestly a lot of H!P vocalists just don't have nowadays. Even Meimi said that once she graduated and began doing stage acting full time, she essentially had to relearn how to sing
properly because the techniques UFP's vocal coaches pass down are only suitable for H!P's music style.

No, I can't do the high pitch nasal voice. So I can't say I've tried to sing like recent MM.
I should have been more specific, S-Class songs and perform them with S-Class singing live.
Lets start with 2017
Takase, Ichioka, Danbara, Kiyono, Kawamura, Morito, Yanagawa, Funaki.
Who do they choose? Morito
I like Chi-chan but the girl can't sing. Are you telling me that Sakurai Rio was the BEST option from that audition? Seems like MM has been recruiting characters rather than skilled players.
Even if I agree with you that the great KSS singers don't develop proper singing technique until after they debut, at least they develop after they debut. Can't say the same for anybody that joins MM.
I know there are people that only follow MM. It's a shame that those diehard fans haven't realized that MM has been passed up skill wise by the other groups. MM is at the bottom with ON and RC right now. The sad truth is that they don't need to be skilled at singing. They aren't marketed on their singing ability. They can keep doing the same thing they've been doing for the past 10 years. They can continue to fart into the mic for 4 minutes and win SOTY because they are MM.
I'm a H!P fan through and through, and if anybody outside the fandom criticizes MM, I will list 300 great things about them, but I think they are underperforming, they could be soo much better. I expect more because I know they can be soo much better.
