Short version:
holy fucking shit, you guys x 10000000.
Longish version: I could only see them from behind/slightly at a left angle. But that's okay. It was amazing. And Maimai was mostly on the side closest to us. It didn't feel like they were right there in front of me, and whenever I tried processing that fact I almost started to cry
. But I didn't want to worry my dad so I held it in. Mostly. The VTR with old footage got me.
Penlight waving is an art form and I have mad respect for the wota who have everything down. I tried to keep up (I did the chants too!) but I really am not that coordinated and I fucked up a few times but oh well, I had fun participating. I've also worked out that Tsunku songs are perfect for penlight waving and "oi"s, because they definitely weren't as present in the non-Tsunku songs.
As for the other H!P groups, Juice=Juice probably stood out to me the most. MM。'17 were amazing too though (THEY DID AI NO GUNDAN HOLY FUCK) and Ogata waved in my general direction so that happened. Doing the "sunriiiiiiiiiiise" penlight move in Hatsukoi Sunrise was super fun.
They performed some of my fave ℃-ute songs (Sekai Ichi HAPPY na Onna no Ko, EVERYDAY YEAH! Kataomoi and Crazy Kanzen na Otona). The lighting effects were perfect and really well done (the fireworks at the beginning made me jump though lol). I also got given a streamer by a very kind fan who was handing them out!
I didn't bother lining up for goods because I knew there'd be too many people there and boy am I glad I didn't. My Twitter friend who was there got me some Maimai things though (and a ℃-ute penlight from their last tour!) so I was very lucky.
I'll probably end up going deaf from how fucking loud it was but I honestly do not care because it was worth it. H!P really is my life force and I've now ascended to the highest plane of existence and I think I'm immortal.
Oh and uh. Yuuko was there too.
