I'm not sure but as this was announced after they joined I doubt it, though they still seem to be in a strange status for me as we haven't seen them at any events at all yet have we?

Just hear me out on my H!P conspiracy theory. I totally made it up, and it sounds good in my head.

Perhaps the H!P Ken's no longer have to pay? I mean they are on television shows and releasing singles and doing events. That's making money. Why would you pay someone who is making you money? That seems really shady. What if you pay to be in this probationary Egg system and once you make it, you're thrown into the system, signed under contract and we never have another family pulling an Aina on the company?
