Besides, I would say in general that loli is more sexually suggestive, as opposed to sexually attractive. You can definitely describe a girl as loli without personally finding her attractive at all.

Not going to say I don't agree with you AyuHikaru (though no one described anyone sexually here )but in all honesty is it really that farfetch to acknowledge an individual's natural physical appearance (which some might deem as "pretty" or "beautiful"). don't get me wrong I have no problem putting it out there by sayin I think Masaki is a cute girl , but to call her hot or express something explicit/sexual about her? I don't think so..

The term "Loli" and where it comes from is from a sexual place. You may not think it but it's the truth. I would hope most of you are familiar with the book "Lolita" Loli oes not mean sexually aggressive, it means sexually attractive (It's even on Wikipedia as that definition)

When you use the term Loli, even ironically, you're making it okay for pedophiles to use the term to describe little girls or themselves ("Lolicons")

I didn't say "sexually aggressive," I said "sexually suggestive." There is a big difference between sexually suggestive and sexually attractive.

For example, "Isn't it rather _______ for a 10 year old to be on the beach with a string bikini?" If you insert "sexually suggestive" into the blanks, you have a normal sentiment. But inserting "sexually attractive" sounds pedo. To me Loli means the former, not the latter, so I would be okay with someone using loli in that sentence.

Loli and lolicon are two different words. Lolita fashion isn't lolicon.

I never liked the term used on real life people as well but I don't think the definition is as limited as you described above particularly in japanese niche works (anime, manga, games etc).

There it's also used just to describe certain youthful looks as a matter of fact without necessarily implying a sexual attraction when using the term. So yeah...context and all.
I still most definitely do not like the word thrown around on real life people though, mainly because of things like these where the intention could be easily misunderstood if all parties aren't on the same page beforehand.

I see nothing wrong with raging against the machine to have this word banished from our fandom. It's not funny to use, it's not cute. You're saying a young girl is sexually attractive and that is never cool.

To RPB: Loli is mostly used as a way, on the internet, to describe anime girls, which in a way is almost worst, because your dehumanizing the real girl if you call her "Loli". If you look on the internet 95% of all lolicons will rage that Loli isn't real and it's anime and it's a fantasy. But we're calling HARUKA, A REAL LIFE GIRL, a Loli. Pretty hypocritical.
