2回目の自己紹介コーナーも 「天まで昇るくらい嬉しかったこと」 というテーマで一人ずつ話していきました

金子→ブラックコーヒーが飲めるようになったこと
宮崎→Juice=Juice初のオープンスペースのイベントが池袋サンシャインで出来ること
田辺→冷蔵庫を開けたら福神漬けがあったとき
金澤→大好きな℃-uteの鈴木愛理さんに「ミュージックビデオ見たよ」と言ってもらい、それだけでなく「かわいかったよ」と言ってもらえたこと
吉橋→おじいちゃんの肩もみをしたらいっぱいお小遣いをもらったこと

野村→体育祭でピラミッドの一番上に乗れたこと
三瓶→学校のテストで国語の点数がよかったこと
一岡→メイクをしてあげるという新しい趣味ができたこと
稲場→私は北海道出身なのですが、東京に来た時にお母さんにいっぱいお洋服を買ってもらえたこと
加賀→学校の硬筆で銀賞をとったこと
田中→お誕生日にメールが50件来たこと
岸本→バレンタインにお友達用に作った生キャラメルを全部食べたこと
佐々木→バッタが卵を産んだこと
牧野→小学校の時に給食を食べるのが遅くて掃除が終わるまで食べてたのですが、少し早くなって掃除が始まるチャイムが鳴るまでには完食できたこと

Im kinda worried if Rikako's mum being filo might backlash negatively for her.
Japan is still very Xenophobic, and notably racist against Filipinos especially mixed.


I really want Rikako, Inaba, and Kishimon for 12th gen. They would look so good together.

Rikako was all over the TV last year and verly likely those tv stations and the people watching it already knew she was half filipino.

And I never get this xenophobic crap. I have seens so many foriegners who have decided to live in Japan becoz they have become part of the community.

What world are you living in? Japan is xenophobic, and that's a fact. It's not a nice one, but it is.

The younger generation isn't that bad, but there's still a lot of resentment towards foreigners (especially Americans) amongst the older crowd. Because, you know, WWII.

Foreign idols are hardly ever popular. Look at Junjun and Linlin. Look at ICM。. Hell, look at basically any half-foreign member in *48. Are any of them popular? No. Except for Akimoto Sayaka, but she's mainly popular amongst the female fans.

The Japanese hate the Chinese. They hate the (South) Koreans. They hate the Americans. Not all of them, but enough of them do.

Also I think I heard somewhere that you're more likely to be arrested if you're a foreigner than if you're a Japanese person but I could just be making that up.

I'm not saying every single Japanese person is xenophobic, because that isn't true at all, but saying that they're not xenophobic at all (which is what your post seems to say) is just wrong. It's still an issue that's present. Japan isn't a perfect country, and anyone who thinks it is needs to have a bit of a reality check.

Idk I can only speak from personal experience but I never had nor saw any issue of xenophobia during my multiple stay in Japan, maybe I'm just lucky.
I guess us South East Asians tend to fall under the radar in the bigger scheme of global racial relationships... or seen as beneath notice if you're feeling cynical, hah. Anyway... no need to derail this thread with that topic since for all we can tell right now, Rikako's ethnicity is a non-issue.

As for the China, everyone in this regions is afraid of them in one way or the other, same with the North Koreans
And Japanese have a valid reason to dislike/hate the N.Koreans, since they had kidnapped Japanese children in the past. Those children are no in their 20's, they were taken when they were in junior school.

On the positive side, from experience I have not come across any xenophobic signs from any Japanese I have met. I'm half Chinese. My mother is Chinese, her family have close Japanese friends. This is a fact.

I think that's just plain racism. Also, I think we shouldn't forget what Japan has done to those countries. No country in this world is perfect.
