Don't think of it as ANGER ME then. Cause it's not "ANGER ME". It's ANGERME, which is based off of "angel" and "tears" in french (Ange Larme).

You guys are stressing yourselves out over the name. It's not that bad, and it's most likely going to be the name for a while until they feel like re-branding the group again.

Just pronounce ANGERME as "Anjurumu" and whenever you see the name, think "Ange Larme" or "Angel tears".

(Btw 321, this isn't a direct insult to you, but a general statement).

from the アンジュルム thread, +Kyu wrote:Reina pronounced the name of the group different than what the groups been saying and now all I can see instead of Anger-me is An-germ-e.

Reina's saying it the same way everybody else is saying it, アンジュルム.

That's essentially what BG means by the above post. Forget about what the letters in Roumaji are, just listen to how it actually sounds. Trying to replicate the sound of Japanese words in English-equivalent Roumaji is always going to be a poor approximation. That's one reason they try to get you using kana as soon as possible in J-class. Roumaji is a deception.

I don't see anything wrong with the name.

The kind of name I hate is the 美勇伝/biyuuden/biyuden/v-u-den/etc type, where there really are many ways to write their names. It's even worse when they release music in several different languages/countries that use Chinese characters (also this group) because there are also many ways of pronouncing the names.

S/mileage was given a very specific image. Higher toned "squeaky" voices, super genki and cute, short skirts and S/mileage badges. They had this tiny little box and every time they didn't do something within it people got annoyed. This is not even factoring in the original group losing half its members and being forced to audition more.

Sure Taiki Bansei is high energy, but it's got a lower tone and is less cutesy high energy and more like a dance party. And there are pants being worn :O! Sure as S/mileage there were some shorts at times, but people would complain about that and never pants. We have complete leg coverage. ANGERME just has so much more freedom to be whatever they(and management of course) want to be.

EDIT: Also I forgot to mention that Ayaka seems truly well invested in everyone being treated like 1st Gen. She really seems to fit seemlessly in with 3rd Gen at least and some of 2nd Gen as well. I am a bit worried about Kanon though since watching that H!S with her and 2/3 of 3rd Gen. I really did get this aura of "I am your senpai, treat me like a senpai. Give me proper respect" Since they both were former KSS though, it might just be leftover from how they used to interact and maybe that's getting better.

I've come to a comfortable place mentally with calling the group Anjurumu. That's what everyone calls them and that's what they call themselves. Therefore that's what I will refer to them as.
