^ I haven't read anything other than Pippi, which I read in class in 4th grade, and I think my dilemma about the other books is that since I've been studying Swedish (enough that I can kinda read), a part of me wants to read the other ones in Swedish.

I found Emil i Lönneberga (in Swedish) and started reading some of that a while back. It's not too difficult so far, compared to my other attempts to read other Swedish books, so I should get back to it.

^You should! :thumbs-up: Really recommendable. Ah, and Emil is a great lecture too, Lindgren has such a unique style for telling stories. :)

Apparently there are swedish movie versions of some of the books, and them to be swedish promises loyality to the original stories, though... I don't feel for now I have the strength to join that magical world again. Maybe in the future.

I saw the 1969 Swedish film version of Pippi Långstrump less than a year ago, but unfortunately it was dubbed in English.

esm, have you read any of Tove Jansson's Moomin books, either in Swedish or English?

Never read the books themselves, but I've seen Moomin products everywhere in Sweden and some brands online. I've been wanting to read them. I have a PDF of one in my computer.

My introduction to Tove Jansson was her illustrations in the Swedish and Finnish translations of The Hobbit. I even have a Suomen Tolkien-Seura (Finnish Tolkien Society) t-shirt with one of her illustrations on it.

I haven't read them but the Moomin books are my mom's favourite books from her childhood. She says they're awesome.

Bought these boots. It's pretty much what I've been look for, plus it's nice enough for me to use as my nice shoes, and I got $30 off (plus earned $25 to spend there in the future).

Other than that, I've sort of sworn off buying clothes, shoes, etc. until next summer, apart from limiting myself to a small budget throughout the entire period.

An eBay purchase arrived today, the first new acquisition for my IAL postal history collection since May, I think. It's a postcard written in Esperanto and sent from Russia to Scotland in 1907. The combination of Esperanto with the lovely embossed images of the Russian coat of arms and postage stamps was too good to pass up.

Let me know what The Sims 4 is like. :fear:
