But do note that if you're instructed to vote in a certain way, that's the only way your vote will be counted. Tripping people up by changing procedures is historically part of the game.

I don't have anything to do with setting up or administering the contest but personally I wish that trickery were not part of the game. Sure, haha gotcha, but in the end I think it makes the end result seem less fair and that maybe turns people off from the contest in general. It's annoying enough that all this behind the scenes plotting goes on. I'd honestly legitimately like the victory to go to the most popular members, not the ones left over after all the circular firing squads and grudge matches, only because people couldn't be arsed to actively dislike them.

I don't think it's ever going to be a genuine popularity contest, since the offsite teams' strategies generally require picking off the most popular members early in the game. It's probably fun to play if you're active in one (or more watch our for that double-dealin' :fear: ) of the teams, but it really has become pretty dull to watch. And to be honest, a straight (non-team) popularity contest probably wouldn't be much more interesting (I think I just voted in one at H!O, and I don't even care about the results). The best part of the game early on (when it did involve more straight popularity voting and less team strategy) was always the high volume of noise, spamming, and general silliness.
OK, I did get involved in a team once or twice in the past, but that was really only because I liked the person who invited me. Team-based voting strategy games aren't the kind of thing that I'd be inclined to do on my own.
The arbitrary rule-changes make it much more interesting, and the truth is that I find it very entertaining to see the best-laid plans of team-strategists get thown completeley overboard on occasion - much more than watching a plan that I'm not involved in work smoothly all the way to a successful conclusion. That's one of the reasons why I came to appreciate SB's completely over-the-top sadism when he ran the game at JPM. :mikihead:

^ Thank you for the screenshots! You probably remember that I sometimes get thrown off my seeing my own votes in bold. :hehe:

WOW THAT WAS QUITE A ROUND!! :w00t: :w00t:
Now that the heavy-hitters have been kicked out, the pecking order is all mixed up, as are the groups! New polls are up in the sub-forum. :burns:
(EDIT:.... ok, but actually this time). :fear:

H!PS has never been a "which member is strictly most popular" poll series. :whistling:

All I know is that if there's no way for anyone from SING女团 or SNH48 to win, it isn't much of a game! :burns: :burns: :cake: :mooning: :cake: :burns:

Now that's what I'd call good, old-fashioned, irrelevant, off-topic spamming! :mikihead:

I HAVE SOME E X T R E M E L Y I M P O R T A N T NEWS!!!!!!!

A new poll (as first reported in this thread at H!O) ahs revealed some information which has a direct and crucial bearing on H!PS2020!

First, the poll itself:
As you can see below, it is an absolutely objective survey, using impeccable methodology and adhering to the highest standards of statistical accuracy:
Image
In it, we find two major issues which require immediate attention form anyone who takes H!PS seriously!
  1. There are two major H!P members who have been left out of the game:
Thanks to yuripop for pointing this out in the abovementioned thread!

    Sashihara Rino!!!
    Image

    and Park Jimin!!!
    Image

OK - where they fit in H!O us an open question, but I think that the obvious place for Sasshi would be in MoMusu, either in the 16th gen (although that would make her a kouhai to Meichan and Homare, which doesn't seem right at all) or a previously unknown 8.75th generation (which would make her co-leader with Mizuki). Park Jimin could be the #2 ikemen in BEYOOOOONDS. But whatever.
However it works out, they absolutely M U S T be included in H!PS ASAP!!! :burns: :burns: :swear: :burns: :burns:

  2. The #1 most problematic H!P member is Kitagawa Rio, beating Koharu by 767 votes and Yossi by 1,122 votes.
    Image
Now, we won't speculate on what horribly scandalous things she's done to rate this distinction, but in light of these revelations, I would seriously urge Team Rio to consider a major course change (perhaps by becoming Team Rino, in honor of H!P's newest senpai).

In any event, these are issues which clearly demand immediate attention!!!!! :burns: :burns: :swear: :swear: :pizza: :pizza: :mooning: :muscle: :punch: :swear: :swear: :burns: :burns:
