^Lack of motivation or something like enthusiasm or participation... I think.

I got the impression that it was more about her not doing what she's told than just being unenthusiastic about her work.
Was she not turning up to her rehearsals or jobs or something?

IIRC they never gave specifics as to why Fujii's contract was cancelled. I even went through the thread and nothing jumped out at me.

Not that this was any way important but I just realised I got the members all mixed up.
Only Rio and Natsumi been terminated. Rena was the one who “graduated”
Easy mistake to make when you haven’t really followed the group from the beginning.

Rena didn't actually graduate. She sort of went on a hiatus for anxiety and then never came back. She had a baby very young not long after and I don't know if that reflects poorly on her in Japan at least. She was relatively close with Taguchi Natsumi and they had a few karaoke videos make it to the internet after both had left the group so I wonder if Rena's association with her knowing that Natsumi was canceled for her behavior also reflected poorly. Either way I don't think Rena got away unscathed.

Today at the H!P Winter 2020 concert, Hirose Ayaka officially made the announcement in the first MC

"We've decided to disband Kobushi factory in March and end our group activities. Some of you may have been surprised by the sudden announcement."

"The new single will be released on March 2nd. I would like to meet as many people as possible and share my thanks and love. Thank you for your continued support of Kobushi Factory."

Kobushi Factory performed their new single "Seishun no Hana"

Lyrics and Composition by Hoshibe Sho, Arranged by Miyanaga Jiro (Both of them worked together on Kobushi Factory's "Shalala! Yareru Hazu Sa" and "Naseba Naru". Weird enough, both songs were created during Kobushi Factory's tough times).

at the Night concert ~side A~, Kobushi Factory also performed their new single "Seishun no Hana"

"Seishun no Hana" is described as a hip-hop-style medium ballad. The members face each other and sing in harmony

I like that Hoshibe Sho is the composer. He's written some of the best H!P material the past few years.

Also, I wrote about Kobushiy Factory at my blog: Kobushi. RIP.

I really enjoyed that article. The other ones I looked at were solid reads as well. Thanks.
