This.
The thing that really killed the original version was the vocals. Just shit.
Kind of reminds me of what happened with a song called Hawaiian Roller Coaster from the original Lilo & Stitch movie. The song in the film sounded really good with mature Hawaiian vocals, but the single version was some shit with teen vocals. Arhgh.

Each country has its style. X) You don't like this version, no problem.
But even if Tsubaki 's vocal is lacking about high notes, is high pitched, it's interesting to see a h! p unit challenging a non hp concept, nice for growing up and working about themself you know...
( and I prefer this version, the original version is too much powerful and, for me, it kills the atmosphere)

Tsubaki 's vocal is lacking about high notes,
Did we listen to the same song? There was a lot of adlibs and high notes.

That is not what I said. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I wanted to say that Tsubaki has some difficulties with high notes.

There are high notes indeed but Tsubaki struggled with those. Well, to be fair Tsubaki is H!P’s weakest vocal group, but they’re actually good considering idol standards.

To me, having a really good quality voice in and of itself really means nothing. I've heard many singer with technically great voices, that I just can't stand to listen to for very long. Either from not having an actual half decent song, just never ending wailing, or anything in between.
Tsubaki might not have the strongest voices, but to me, they're more then good enough to make the song heaps more enjoyable than the original.
They're still learning, like all Idols, and they'll gradually get better.

Yeah I agree.
I didn't understand the "killed the original version" ... (in France it's not really the same meaning so...)

Musically (without the vocals), the original actually sounds fine to me. So, by "killed", I meant was that it was the original's vocals that totally
stopped it from being any good to listen to. It's a fairly common phrase in English.
