^ HMV is good when you can get things at discount in their Multi Buy campaigns and other sales, and such discounts are generally applicable to most of the stuff they sell (24 of the 25 items on my HMV wish list are currently eligible for the Multi Buy price). Since they only ship using EMS, that offsets the discounts somewhat, but in general, discounted stuff from HMV with EMS shipping is comparable in price to (or even slightly cheaper than) regularly priced CDJapan with their cheapest shipping option (uninsured SAL) or YesAsia with their "free" shipping.

Unfortunately, HMV normally uses bubble mailers rather than boxes, so there's a greater chance of clearfiles and such getting bent or dented in transit than if you were to get them from CDJapan. They also fold first press bonus posters rather than rolling them.

^ I love how they carry a lot of these Up-Front releases that aren't normally available on websites that ship outside of Japan. I've been putting off preordering the New York concert DVD through a proxy in the hope that it will show up in CDJapan's listings.
