Kamiko thinks Kawamuu is really working hard lately.

Even if it might be rude to the seniors, she’ll say things directly for the sake of the group

Angerme Wada Ayaka’s Bijurumu 5/12 Broadcast

For the latest single’s release events, they did member produced events
I did a lot a lot of consultations and was allowed to do it.

The start of it all was [Kawamuu].
I asked the members what they thought about current conditions in Angerme
What they want us to work harder at, and so on

[Kawamuu] sent me a really long message in return.
I was really saved by her words.

[Kawamuu] just joined recently but
The fact she’s thinking of us like that made me really happy.

I couldn’t deny that release events were getting stagnant with the established format.
They should be a chance for even people who don’t know Angerme to see us and think we’re fun.
While treasuring the guests who always come for us
It’s an ideal chance to have people besides them see Angerme.
I always thought we could have a lot of fun thinking of and directing them ourselves.

[Kawamuu] said,
“Someday, I’d like to try to do member produced release events”
I thought, I want to do that as soon as possible.
I consulted with a lot of people, and got the okay.

Up until now for release events
The manager came up with the setlist and we had a script for the MCs
The members did events according to that.

When I decided my graduation, I thought, without the members doing anything, the group as a whole will keep moving with no connection to the members individual growth.
It was a really difficult thing but, through the member produced events, what I was testing was
How do they think of Angerme? I really wanted to know.
It was the perfect chance to set up Angerme exactly as they want it.

(...)
I hope this can be useful to Angerme’s future.

Oden-kun said on the radio that Kamu-chan is the most responsible in Angerme and could even be the next leader.

I'd say they chose the right people for the right positions.

I had completely forgotten about that set of translations, but that definitely brings some clarity to the whole skipping-6-heads business.

Kawamura might be relatively new to H!P and ANGERME, but she’s as old or older than many of her seniors and she’s certainly not new to the idol industry. She had years of experience fronting (leading?) her own local idol group before H!P, under some pretty stressful circumstances if the mini-doc about her is to be believed.

In other words, she’s a fighter with big ideas. Good on H!P for recognizing that and giving her a chance.

I don’t think it’s that, because Nakanishi was always considered the senior of their generation. Instead, I’m guessing Nakanishi plans to graduate next and a short tenure as leader would be kind of pointless. Or she simply doesn’t want it, which would fit her personality, and they made her a sub-leader because they need to do something to maintain the seniority system. They made Iikubo and Ishida sub-leaders of MM because they’re both older than Ikuta.

Katsuta Rina says they support the decision of the new leader and sub-leaders. In the past, it was natural for the member who has the seniority to be chosen as the leader, but now they have established a new system of choosing their group's leaders

Nakanishi's reaction

Kawamura's reaction. She was pretty surprised, since she was third from the bottom of seniority and still become a sub-leader.

She and Takeuchi are/were already both sub-leaders, so of everyone involved she's the only one whose situation is staying exactly the same.

She always seemed so insecure, like she is a bit scared of being in a leadership position. Following her recent hiatus, it really just showed how much it was. Already had a hunch that Take-chan would 99% be the next leader and I wanted to post about it all of last week so badly. Well, no need to anymore. Lol

Tbh, I wasn't expecting a second sub-leader, but good on them for promoting a girl that has the best qualifications for the position, regardless of seniority.

That just reinforces my point. Takeuchi wanted it and Nakanishi didn’t, but they thought they couldn’t make one sub-leader over the other because seniority.
