Huh. Those three solos at 2:30 of Namida sound like a reincarnation of Berryz. First sounds like Momo (holy shet no wai) but second sounds a tad like Miyabi and I swore kid Risako was singing at me for the third. It's not like Risa and Chisaki normally sound like them but the way they sing that particular solo is so uncanny to me. (Especially the way Chi sings "sayonara")
Anyway, I could've said it earlier but I really love this song. Really really really. Dou Datte doesn't hit me as hard because sitting on the same two notes for 80% of the song bugs me, but I still love its style.

Namida is one of the best PVs H!P has put out in a long while imo. There's nothing complex going on but like an old school classic MM video it lets each girl show a little bit of personality and makes them interesting as people. As far as the Berryz thing, it was a hallmark of that group for the girls to sing a bit outside their range and strain their voices a bit, at least in the early days and especially Socko. It gave them an earnest vulnerable quality which I think is in display here as well.
