The qualifiers have been arranged in meetings and will start filming their set piece now. They will be revealed on 12/29 to be voted on.

So it's not that the MV will be done by 12/29, it is that they have to be done with their IDEAS by 12/29.
That makes more sense.

I wonder what nationalities the qualifiers will be? (Do you think all Japanese?)

They're filming a PV with the 9 girls which will show their skills as a director and will be what you will vote on for the 29th.

It's not a new song nor is it a new single. :b
It's just that they're shooting something that's /new/ and /with/ the girls for the people watching to vote on.

The deal is still that they'll do the PV for Morning Musume. '15's first single.

Ih, so like an Audition. This is just a chance to show off what they could do for the PV.

We have to remember that the audition is happening because they're going to be on this special, rather then it's own thing. And that it said right here when it first got announced that stuff would be voted on by the audience and that the MV will happen after the special is all finished with.

Personally it's the fact that they will be on this special is happening that I'm more excited for rather than the idea of the audition itself. I assume they won't be the only audition on there and the special will have a lot of general public watching it who might not have been exposed to current MM yet. General public may become attached to some of the auditionees and end up paying attention to the upcoming single because they want to see the video and then hopefully the song will be kick-ass and we will hook more fans >D!

This also means we might get a few different styles of mini-MV type things with the 9-nin, that'll be cool.

There are four categories for the show. One is the PV Director... who knows when it'll be on, but yeah.
Be prepared to vote. Should be possible to do online.

The other day, the candidates' skills were put to the test at a real MV filming location. It was finished. an off-shot photo of the location somewhere in Tokyo.
