Because it's '14. The winner of this audition will direct a '15 MV, but for this round to show off their skills, it's '14 that they work with. 12th gen don't officially start activities until '15.

I do see a ferris wheel! I almost went on that, till I smashed my leg into the ground and that ruined my day. :< (Still kinda ruining me to be honest.)

I didn't realize Sky Tree was that close. Kinda bummed now I didn't notice it and take a picture.

The outfits do look familiar, but not quiet. They remind me of the ones they wore during the graduation concert, but that's just because they were both white.

Filmed in Odaiba, Fuji TV house/studio. This particular shot is obv from the roof. (Sky Tree is far away from Odaiba it's just that it's so damn tall lol)
Those outfits are Ai no gundan alternative (image scene) outfits. The directors were given the option to choose from a total of three(or so) outfits, those were one set.
