I think he's joking saying they look so polished that they really look like new members of the mother group (...errr Daughter group now....)

Sort of. I'm saying I kind of wish they had been picked as the 12kis. Not that I have anything against the new girls but it's like I feel like MM14's taking a big hit with the loss of Shige. You want to make sure it gets re-energized with top of the line new talent. And while the new girls seem okay, It's almost like UF cares more about solidifying Smileage than it does about solidifying MM. And I understand why they feel that way. With the loss of Berryz, they want to make S/mileage a stronger group. But I'm biased. To me, keeping MM strong >>> making S/mileage strong, and so I'd have preferred to see these girls as MM members.

Mhmm...I think UF felt that 9-11ki is solid enough that losing Sayu isn't going to kill all of MM.'s fans, even with a new generation with questionable performance skills.
S/mileage, on the other hand, really needed solid members, especially if there's a possibility AyaKanon are leaving in like 2-3 years (no basis, just the whole "secure the future of S/mileage" speech they gave) and, as you mentioned, Berryz leaving and needing them to fill the gap of a group that consistently sold well for over a decade. (I mean there's Country Girls to help fill that gap...but unless they can pull a J=J that's really big shoes to fill...)

Though I completely agree, they would've been amazing as 12 gen, the chemistry between the 3 is already good (I think o.o) and their chemistry with 9-11ki probably wouldnt be as awkward because of their personalities.

While renaming S/Mileage "Morning Musume" would cause a lot of market confusion, I think that they could if they wanted to re-use some group names that are no longer active since these names are probably already copyright vetted:

Tanpopo
T&C Bomber
Eligies
Bello

If they want to float the name around a number (and change the name when the number of group members change):
Sexy 9
Happy 9
Odoru 9
9nin Matsuri
Guardians 9
Reborn 9

I heard Maho's voice for the first time. I couldn't distinguish between her and Rikako's voice, so either she's a really kickass singer or she's the next Aarii.

Apparently, the reliable Taiwanese website says that S/mileage will release a new single in February.

As for Samidare, the first 4 lines went as followed: Sasaki > Maho > Mutota > Maho. The overall performance was mainly Rikako and Murota. Also, song like Samidare are not the best songs to show off your vocal ability.
