Correcting someone's asshole behavior is not being butthurt.

I'm not being an asshole? I'm serious?
Suppin means without make-up. She's ugly without make-up.
Its the truth.

I don't understand what's wrong with acknowledging Sakura as a girl who's ugly without make-up? We've known this since she joined, if you're offended by this then you're just simply ignorant.

You think she's ugly without makeup.
You don't speak for everyone.

And using a photo with horrible lighting is hardly fair anyway.

Or maybe I find beauty in everyone? She's not ugly. To you, she might be, but to others, she's not and you shouldn't dub someone as "ignorant" because they don't think that she's ugly or they think that she's really pretty.

I'm gonna have to agree to disagree with you on this one, Jplop.
She's ugly without make-up, and gorgeous with it. Her suppin blog photos don't count because they're edited, that photo is more realistic and resembles her younger self when she first joined before she started to play with make-up more. Especially her under eye bags that she softens out with make-up. I can accept the "she's okay looking by my own personal standards" but mainstream wise she's not exactly that all visually nice without make-up.

can we not play the philosophical card pleas?. we obviously know i mean by mainstream industry standards.
it is ignorant if they refuse to acknowledge her as being someone who could be perceived as ugly.

i only care because its harder to convince a mainstream audience to like girls like that, when they chew up and spit out talents regularly and harder to protect them from criticism.

To be fair to otaku blue, there are indeed a lot of people I've come across who (while they love Sakura) don't think she's as much of a suppin beauty as, say, Sayu. On the other hand, Otaku, you could have put it more nicely than calling her ugly (seeing as there are some OdaSaku fans on here who are bound to get offended over that word).

Before this escalates, can we just agree that people have different standards when it comes to beauty and no single fan's (or select group of fans) opinion should be taken as the end-all-be-all view?

And count me in on wanting a KSS to "help" reveal the winners and cruelly be one of them. That's a twist they've never pulled :)

It's just my personal opinion, just because I'd rather not have more people finding an excuse to pick on MM at the end of the day when they're trying to break into a mainstream audience again.

I'm really excited and open to anything at this point, don't get me wrong.

and about project girls, I think we have too many girls in MM right now who are still developing and it'd only be more of a burden on the group instead of benefiting them in the long run and would be better in kenshuusei.

It's your personal opinion, but in the end, you tried to shove it down people's throat with the whole "You're ignorant if you're offended by this."", and made it sound like everyone had to acknowledge the fact that Sakura's "ugly".

Keep track of what you say.
