A live version of "Café Olé no Uta", at FM Yokohama's Queen's Square event…

Nice to hear a live version of that particular song, though of Aimai na kankei is what I really want! When she did her mini-live in Shinjuku tower records, she got us all to sing cafe ole no uta acapella for about five seconds, which was a lot of fun :D

I see that title romanized as "Café Olé no Uta" (with or without the accents) all over the place, but shouldn't it really be "Café au Lait no Uta"?

You're right, my mistake. I don't drink coffee (or know French), so I wasn't really thinking about it.

If you go to the coffee brand website they choose to put it as Café Olé (the URL at least).

Thanks. That's why I phrased it as a question.

That is to say, I know that "Café au lait" is technically correct, but I wondered whether there might not be some other motivation for the "olé" spelling.

"au Lait" is オレ in Japanese. :3 Which makes sense cause it sounds that way. Damn French lol. So it's a question of if you wanna use romaji or you wanna go and translate it. Cause... it's really au Lait.

The brand name — and therefore the song title — is Café Olé.
