online shops that ship to the US, like CDJapan/HMV.co.jp/YesAsia/etc, will only sell release goods.. that is, CD's, DVD's & photobooks.

event goods can only be bought in person, and through shops that don't ship outside of Japan. however, there is a Facebook group called Idol!Swap that organizes group orders where people in Japan will buy the goods and send them to us from Japan. we order in groups to share fees and shipping costs so that it's cheaper for everyone. it's still not cheap, but at least more affordable than you can get anywhere else. there is also proxy services like FromJapan.co.jp where you tell them what to buy, they'll buy it for you and you pay for all the fees/shipping yourself. more expensive but may be easier as Idol!Swap can be a bit confusing until you spend the time figuring it all out.

if you decide to go with Idol!Swap, you'll want to join a group order for the online shop called e-LineUP. group orders are pinned at the top of the group, each of them has a corresponding graphic/photo for easy identification. make sure to pay attention to the deadlines (usually written right on the photo/graphic of the group order).
