^ It's the Japanese way 3rd anniversary, it's the start of the 3rd year since their major debut.

As it was released in September 2013 only 2 years have actually passed.

To be honest, I would be surprised if it were already 3 years. But somehow 2 years almost seems too short again. Too much has happened in H!P the last couple of years to accurately keep track of the time everything happened.

It's like saying osmeone is 18 years old when they're just STARTING their 18th year... but that's not how it works, and they don't do that either.. o.o

In the old kazoe-doshi 数え年 system, which merely counted the calendar years of a person's life, a child was considered one year old when it was born, and the age increased with the coming of the new calendar year, not the actual anniversary. So a baby born on December 31st would have been considered two years old the following day.
