Finally had time to catch up with Game of Thrones last night. Man, I really missed it.

Still aiming to catch up with the books at some point.

Not really spoiler, but since it contains scenes from the show:
Spoiler: show

Zunu wrote:Coulson's an idiot. Who didn't he totally misread in this ep? And why didn't he just shoot (with the "icer") instead of blurting out how he was rapidly coming to the realization that this person was the traitor in their midst? Lame.

Because deep down, he didn't really believe that she was the traitor and he just wanted the truth. He kept demanding that she explain herself, and when she said not only that she reported to Fury but also that she was the one who'd actually assembled the team, he genuinely didn't know what to do next. He trusted Fury and Fury trusted her, apparently even more than Fury trusted him, so…? He'd been paranoid and off-balance ever since he discovered that Tahiti wasn't such a magical place after all, and this latest revelation left him like a turtle on its back.

My bad..I didn't mean May, I meant Garrett. Why didn't Coulson just shoot him when it was logically inevitable that Garrett was the traitor? Why telegraph his position with that whole soliloquy infodump? So contrived. I mean, unless Coulson was already setting up the events of next week's episode (presumably infiltrate Hydra) by design, but that seems unrealistically crafty.
Agreed about the double twist. There was something odd about the way that scene was filmed.

Oh, that. Hold on, let me watch it again…

Okay, it was literally 40 seconds between Garrett's verbal stumble and Coulson's full realization, and then another 20 seconds between that and the arrival of the troops.

Yeah, it's still an overused trope, but they worked through it quickly enough to be somewhat realistic. It's not like they spent several minutes on it, like they did in the old Bond movies. That would be contrived. This was simply melodramatic.

Besides, they were deep in hostile territory and couldn't weigh themselves down with an iced Garrett, so I imagine Coulson was reluctant to act. He might have been wrong, after all. He needed confirmation one way or the other, and immediately after he got it, the troops arrived.

Okay, since you're obviously begging to be asked: what's your second favorite?

Lol, me, Mr. Overexplainer, dropping a teaser?? Tbh I thought it was obvious and unworthy of mention: 1) SOIAF series, 2) GOT TV series 3) Podcast. I mean, 1 and 2 could be reversed but other than that, what? Trading cards? Please shoot me. Maybe audiobooks, I guess, except I haven't yet had the pleasure.

Anyway, speaking of The Walking Dead, the first Telltale Games series is out on Android, finally. Also, my beloved Ann Chirisu is doing a playthrough.

Oh, I wouldn't have thought of that as "GoT-related".

Been getting into Modern Family recently and I'm enjoying it. I'm caught up with all of the 1st and 2nd seasons. Pretty funny, without being too serious or on-the-nose as I had thought it would be.
