You had my hopes up for a second, then I saw that the new season of Penny Dreadful doesn't start up again until May~!

Sigh. I need more Eva Green in my life. She's like the offspring of Helena Bonham Carter and a gargoyle. Magnificent.

That is the perfect description for her. My sister and I really fell in love with her crazy in the first season. We haven't been able to watch the second yet, but we hope to before it starts airing again.

Everyone already knows by now, but two new Pokémon games were announced. Sun and Moon.

I'm excited, but I just hope you can still play them without having the "new" 3DS. They didn't mention having to have one, but I'm still waiting to see if they'll say anything closer to the release date.

Yeah, we'll see. I found that playing XY with the 3D on caused lag, so it wouldn't surprise me if they end up making Sun/Moon it new 3DS-only.

The description sez, "A scientist with a passion for magic gets more than he bargains for when performing a new card trick."

Spoiler: show
I love stuff like this. Hollywood tries to do stuff like this all the time (e.g., The Matrix, Jumper, Chronicle) but never seems to do it as well.

Part of me wants it to be a full-length movie or even a series, to see where it goes next, while another part of me thinks it's perfect as it is, with the literally infinite possibilities.

I enjoyed the first two season of "The 100" quite a bit, and was looking forward to the third. Now that I'm watching it (middle of episode 5), I feel like I'm having to force myself to sit through it. I can't tell if the writing got worse (it was never a masterpiece to begin with, but it was passable enough - especially for The CW) or if I just dislike the direction. I'll watch a few more in hopes that it'll click with me again, but what a disappointment.

Sailor Moon Crystal stuff. Looks like they stepped up the animation this year, which makes me glad bc this arc is my favorite.

Digest of first two episodes
Spoiler: show

First OP:
やくしまるえつこ (Etsuko Yakushimaru) - ニュームーンに恋して (New Moon ni Koishite)
Spoiler: show

First ED:
セーラーウラナス (皆川純子) (Sailor Uranus (Junko Minagawa)) x セーラーネプチューン (大原さやか) (Sailor Neptune (Sayaka Ohara)) - eternal eternity
Spoiler: show

The OP will stay the same, but the second version will be by Mitsuko Horie, and the third by MomocloZ. 13 episodes for this arc.

Wait, what? A new Gundam mini-series set in the classic Universal Century timeline (i.e., the only Gundam timeline that actually matters)?

I need to pay more attention to developments like this.

I can't really call it "mindless fluff" anymore. The first season/story arc gets much darker towards the end. :fear:

Having caught up with Season 2, I don't know if I'm digging it as much anymore…

Okay, we're past mid-season and going into the final stretch, and I know now that I shouldn't have doubted. Just like the first season, this season has gotten much darker towards the end. Good stuff.
