Agreed, it was pretty good this week, and I even feel a little excited in anticipation of the next episode.

Went to see the new Captain America yesterday.
So much better than the recent Marvel movies. I also heard that there's going to be some reference of it in "agents of S.H.E.I.L.D" at some point.
Now I want a "Black Widow" movie. Her character was really prominent in this one.

I'll find it online later...

Hopefully people don't spoil things before I get to watch it (not necessarily this episode but throughout the season).

not really any spoilers but just to be on the safe side:
Spoiler: show
That scene played out even better than I had imagined it.

And...oh Natalie Dormer. How I missed your beautiful, clever face.

And, it seems to me that Dinklage is ...trying... to work on his accent.

And, it's been many years, so I don't remember the details of the book, but watching their scene together, I wonder to what extent Cersei is disgusted by Jamie's physical weakness, and to what extent she's disgusted by his psychic weakness, aka his growing conscience, which she can doubtless smell by instinct.

Game of Thrones

Spoiler: show

It's one of the many things that I think D&D have improved over the books. They got the hysterical, stabby-stabby killing out of the way at the end of last season, when she (like the rest of us) was still wound up from the Red Wedding and needed to take it out on a Frey, any Frey. That way, when she caught up with Polliver, she could do him with more… grace, really.

In the books, of course, the Hound killed Polliver while Arya went stabby-stabby on the Tickler, and only after the fight was over did Arya retrieve Needle from Polliver's body. That might have been more realistic, but this was more dramatic.

Besides, I've never really understood why Arya went stabby-stabby on the Tickler that late in the books. The Tickler was a monster, so killing him was justice, but he never hurt her or her friends personally, not like Polliver did. And the timing was wrong for catharsis; by that point in the books, as in the show, she and the Hound had been wandering the Riverlands for weeks, trying to decide between Riverrun and the Vale. She should have been past the stabby-stabby stage of grief by then.

So, like I said, this was an improvement.

So, JPlop, tell me your top 5 anime series. Or more or less if you can't choose/don't watch much anime.

Mine:
-Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.
-Kuroko no Basket.
-Free!.
-Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu.
-Angel Beats!.

So it seems my favourite anime genre is "boys being dumb (and sometimes playing sports)". Angel Beats! only kind of falls into that category.

I'm actually kind of iffy about what's #5. I think it's Angel Beats!, but there are a few other series that are at about the same level (Minamike, Gosick, Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita, Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!, AKB0048, Love Live), so I'm not 100% sure.

Also I've, uh, somehow managed to complete about 130 TV series (as in shows that are 11+ episodes) since I started watching anime about 9 years ago. Oops...
