(okay, okay, I promise no more BABYMETAL posts… until the North American leg of their tour, later this month.)

Yui is the cutest thing in the history of things. Moa is great, too.

Aaaaand since we're on the subject of BABYMETAL doing covers, here's (a fan recording of) my favorite of all the songs they've covered so far (Tamashii no Rufuran):

FRIDAY magazine - the kid that trying to reach over the 1m fence or the girl afraid to shake his hand, no leniency for the kid?

Tomomi Itano and Kylee have both been confirmed for J-POP SUMMIT. I still don't get Kylee being there, all she's done for the past year and a half are YouTube covers.

I think it's probably easy to get her to come. She goes to Stanford and her family's in Arizona (I think) so she doesn't have to fly in from Japan.

BBC getting on the BABYMETAL train.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/28217125

"It's a terrific barometer of how important social media is these days," says Alexander Milas, editor-in-chief of Metal Hammer magazine.
"Babymetal has descended on us from a lot of non-traditional means.
"It's not because Metal Hammer has said 'check this out' or the BBC has.
People have discovered this on their own and they have ownership of this thing.

It's suddenly become a juggernaut. I think it will also be very telling to see if it sticks around."

and...
Forums have called them "the definition of a gimmick", "awful" and "metal for hipsters".

Meh, fuck forums...

Here we go again, I love Japan's alternative music (well, these ones concretely are more pop-rockish, but still are on Japan's experimentalistic wave):

Also, in this one the MV is cool and funny:

As much as I like Su-metal, I've always thought that having the two other members just makes it more gimmicky than it needs to be (but its Japan).
They're just as important to the show as Tempura Kidz are to Kyary.

Don't think I can call myself a fan until they're older though. :fear: I am a fan of Su-metal though, talent like that transcends everything.

Hey now, TEMPURA KIDZ are their own thing.

They're experimenting with having Yui and Moa sing more; each one got a turn to lead on "Headbangya!!", for their respective birthdays. And it's assumed that since they've "gone viral" and might be around for a while, future releases will switch up the format.

The girl can sing. And she's only gotten better as her voice has deepened. Metalheads who hate the whole concept insist that she must be lip syncing or at least auto-tuned, because they can't believe she's legit. They're so accustomed to growl-y old men.

@Starra I know...

But what I mean to say is that I think I'm just not a fan, "fan" of the group but I'm a fan of Su-metal's voice and their gimmick.
I dig their music, but I don't care about the girls themselves at a personal level. :lipssealed:

Mainly because of their age and whatnot, so I don't appreciate them as idols but artists.
(Unlike MM, where a constantly changing lineup makes you grow to like girls)
